Community Councils are voluntary groups of people who give time to, and have a genuine interest in, the well-being of their community. Our Community Council holds regular meetings, and its chief role is representative; to consult the local community and to make known to the local authority and other public bodies the views of local people on all matters affecting them.
We discuss local issues news and issues: for example, traffic problems, street cleaning, housing, planning applications and crime. We then work to resolve these by working with politicians, the local council, community police, and any other relevant organisations. Our meetings are open to the public and regularly attended by local councillors, and from time to time by Police and other Community bodies. You are very welcome to attend.
